Roles and Privileges

Kavi Groups gives you the flexibility to control group access and create custom roles specific to your organization's needs. The Group Admin is responsible for maintaining (and, if needed, modifying) the four pre-defined roles shipped with Groups: Chair, Manager, Member, and Observer. The Group Admin can also easily create any number of custom roles, with any combination of access privileges. Group access is determined at the highest level by user type: Visitor or Member. Visitors can learn about a group by viewing its description, accessing its shared documents, viewing its shared events calendar, and joining. Within Members, different roles have different access privileges. These privileges can range from general members who can see group information and post documents, to members with administrative privileges responsible for maintaining group membership, documents and calendar.
