Kavi Mailing List Manager Help

Administrators use the Bounce Report tool to generate a report on which email addresses have been removed from Kavi Mailing List Manager mailing lists by automated bounce handlers. Ezmlm bounce handlers only remove email addresses after repeated bounces over an extended period of time, as described in the Troubleshooting document Bounces and Automated Bounce Handling. You can retrieve bounce removals for a specific mailing list or all lists, for a single email address or all email addresses that share a common domain, for a specified date range, or for a combination of these criteria.
If the removed address belongs to an account holder and your organization collects phone numbers, Bounce Report results will include a phone number so you can contact the account holder by phone if desired. The displayed results include links to the Manage Subscriptions tool and the Kavi® Members tool Manage a User so you can see whether this account holder is active or not, and view and manage subscriptions as desired.
Note
This Bounce Report is derived from the log maintained by the ezmlm automated bounce handler, so it pertains explicitly to messages sent through Kavi Mailing List Manager mailing lists and doesn't include Kavi® Groups mailing lists.

Set search criteria for your bounce report. You can set any combination of fields or leave them all set to the defaults (but unless your organization's website is new, you probably want to narrow the results so you don't inadvertently run some monster query that takes several minutes to resolve). The search only returns results that meet all your criteria.
To narrow the report to a specific mailing list, select the mailing list whose bounce report you want to generate. To generate a bounce report for a specific email address or set of addresses that share the same domain, enter a full or partial email address. If you want to generate a report for a specific time period (or want your results to include all subscribers on all available mailing lists but don't want to overwhelm system resources) set a time or time range. When you are satisfied with your search criteria, click the Search button.
Fields
- Mailing List
To narrow the results a specific mailing list, select the mailing list name.
- Email Address
To generate a report for a specific email address or set of addresses, enter a full or partial email address. This tool's search functionality includes the ability to perform partial matches, so if you add just the domain, the report includes all subscriber addresses from that domain. This could be useful when the organization didn't get advance notification of a new company email domain or subdomain.
- After This Time
Use these fields to set a point in time if you only want to see results from the following time period.
- Before This Time
-
Use these fields to set a point in time if you only want to see results from the preceeding time period.
Note
The time fields can be used together to specify a bounded time range beginning at the time set in the After This Time fields and ending at the time set in the Before This Time fields.
The bounce report results are displayed. If you want to filter these results by Subscription Type, select the desired Subscription Type in the search option to filter these results by Subscription Type. Click View Another if you would like to generate another bounce report.

- Email Address

- Work Phone
If the subscriber's email address is listed in the Kavi® Members database, the software looks to see if there is a phone number stored in the subscriber's account. If there is, the phone number is displayed in this field. This is left blank if the email address isn't in the Kavi Members database or if there isn't a phone number listed in the user's account. If the organization doesn't collect phone numbers, this column is omitted.
- Actions
Links to the Manage Subscriptions tool and the Kavi Members tool Manage a User are displayed. You can click the Manage Subscriptions link to see whether this account holder is active or not and view and manage subscriptions as desired.
