Kavi Members can be configured to collect addresses for companies and/or users. If Kavi Membership is installed and Kavi Billing is enabled,Billing Account Information is collected.
With the exception of Billing Account Information, address data is often optional, and many organizations choose not to collect address information. Address Types are configurable, so your site may not include every field described here.
The database column name is prefixed with user or a company, depending on whether the Address Type is collected for a user or a company, plus the name of the Address Type. The example shown here is a user mailing address. The rows in this table follow the order in which the fields appear in an address block. An address block includes one or two lines for the addressee's name, followed by the actual address.

| Contact Name | user_mailing_name1 | This field is automatically enabled for both company and user Address Types, and appears as the first line in an address block. A text box is used to collect the name of the addressee, and any information may be entered here, so this is not necessarily the name of the account holder. If the Company Name (i.e. second addressee line) is not enabled, this field may contain either a user or a company name. If the addressee is a department within a company, rather than an individual, this field may contain the name of this department. |

If enabled for a company or user Address Type, this appears as the second line in an address block, following the Contact Name. It is a text box used to collect the company name, but any information may be entered here, so this is not necessarily the name of the account holder. If the Contact Name field is left empty and the Company Name field contains data, the Company Name appears as the first line in the address block. In addresses that require multiple lines of addressee information, this field may contain the name of a department or building, pushing the company name down into the Address 1 field. Frank's Compulsive Guide to Postal Addresses explains the "Order of Presentation" so well that we aren't even going to attempt to do better. |
| Address 1 | user_mailing_address1 | This field is present in all Address Types by default, and usually contains the first line of the actual address. In a one-line address, this is the street address or post office box, possibly followed by a suite or apartment number. If the address is too long for a single line, this field contains the more specific or fine-grained address information, such as the suite number (and the street address is bumped down to the next line). |
| Address 2 | user_mailing_address2 | This field is present in all Address Types by default, but is only used for multi-line addresses, or in cases where multiple lines addressee information preempted the Address 1 field. Frank's Compulsive Guide to Postal Addresses explains the handling of "sub-part" address components better than we ever could. |
| Address 3 | user_mailing_address3 | This field is not enabled by default, so it may not be in use on your site. When enabled, it is seldom used except for unusually long or complex address information. Though it is seldom used, it helps to assure that no one ever runs out of space when entering address information. |
| City | user_mailing_city | This field is present in all Address Types. If an address is required, then this field is required. If an address is optional and any address information is entered, this field is required. When an address is displayed, this value appears as the first element of the city line. |
| State/Province/Region | user_mailing_state_province | This field is present in all Address Types, but the organization sets whether its Address Types use a drop-down list or not. If a drop-down list is used, an 'Outside U.S. and Canada' option may be enabled to allow users to enter a region that isn't available in the drop-down list. If the drop-down is not enabled, this information is collected through a text box. When an address is displayed, this value appears as the second element of the city line. |
| Postal Code | postal_code | This field is present in all Address Types, and is collected through a text box. When an address is displayed, this value appears as the third and final element of the city line. |
| Country | user_mailing_country | This field is present in all Address Types, but the organization sets whether its Address Types use a drop-down list or not. If the drop-down is not enabled, this information is collected through a text box. When an address is displayed, this value is displayed alone as the last line in the address block. |
