How to Configure Your Payment Gateway

The Configure Payment Gateway tool is used to set up the gateways through which credit card transactions will be processed. Manual processing mode is used by Kavi only during the setup process, or on test sites. Once setup is complete, the PayPal gateway is enabled.

Manual

This is a Kavi-only mode used for development sites, test sites, new sites that are undergoing setup, etc. While in manual processing mode, you'll have to use the Complete a Transaction tool to mimic payment gateway processes.

Unless you are setting up a customer site, you probably want to leave the payment gateway set to manual processing mode. There's no need to switch test or development sites to PayPal mode, but if you do, nothing terrible will happen since you don't have a merchant account with PayPal and won't be able to access any gateways.
